Korea’s Official Foreign Reserves at $389.3 Billion December 2017

Korea’s official foreign reserves totalled $389.3 billion at the end of December 2017, The Bank of Korea reported.


Korea’s official foreign reserves consisted of securities valued at 358.8 billion dollars (92.2%), deposits of 20.7 billion dollars (5.3%), SDRs of 3.4 billion dollars (0.9%), and the country’s IMF reserve position of 1.6 billion dollars (0.4%), gold of 4.8 billion dollars (1.2%).
